Polyarc Games, the studio behind the Moss franchise, has announced it is closing its doors. The team shared the news in a statement reflecting on a long run in the industry.
"After nearly 12 years riding the joyous rollercoaster of emotions that is making video games, our time together has come to an end," the studio said.
Polyarc first made a name for itself with Moss, a virtual reality title that paired players with a small mouse named Quill. The game drew praise for its charm and its thoughtful use of VR, and it helped establish the studio as a notable presence in the space. A sequel, Moss: Book II, followed and continued the story.
The closure marks the end of a studio that spent more than a decade building worlds and characters for players. While the company did not detail what led to the decision, the announcement signals the conclusion of its work as a team.
For fans of Quill and the world of Moss, the news closes a chapter that began with a single VR adventure and grew into something many players remember fondly.
