GTA 6’s PC Release Is Reportedly Planned for Q1 2027

GTA 6’s PC Release Is Reportedly Planned for Q1 2027

Rockstar Games is reportedly planning to bring Grand Theft Auto 6 to PC in the first quarter of 2027, according to sources familiar with the company's internal schedule. That timing would place the PC version just a few months after the game's November 19 launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

The gap between console and PC releases has become familiar for Rockstar. Grand Theft Auto 5 arrived on consoles in 2013, while the PC port did not appear until 2015. Red Dead Redemption 2 followed a similar path, hitting consoles in October 2018 before reaching PC the following November. If the new report holds up, the wait for GTA 6 on PC would be shorter than those earlier gaps, though still long enough to frustrate players who prefer the platform.

A Q1 2027 window would cover January through March. Rockstar has not confirmed any PC version, and the company rarely comments on unannounced platforms. The studio has focused its public messaging on the console launch, which is already one of the most anticipated releases in years.

PC players have grown accustomed to waiting, but the shorter turnaround suggests Rockstar may be preparing the port alongside the console versions rather than starting from scratch afterward. For now, the November console date remains the only officially confirmed launch.
